Striking it Rich: A Complex Asset Case Study

Join us on Thursday, April 16, at 12:00 p.m. for an informative webinar on donor demographics. Willingness to consider and accept complex gift assets and/or unusual gift structures can lead to significant gifts and expanded relationships with key donors.  In this interactive case study, based on an actual gift to a private university in the Midwest, we will discuss how to identify and resolve common issues with gifts of closely-held business interests and gifts of real estate.  We will also explore strategies to address CGA risks, especially when the funding asset is illiquid or hard to value.

Learning Objectives:

  • Assess the suitability of complex gift assets and structures, including closely-held business interests and real estate.
  • Identify and address key risks and compliance issues associated with accepting illiquid or hard-to-value assets.
  • Apply risk-management strategies for CGAs funded with non-cash and illiquid assets.

Space is limited so register early!
