Participants will gain a solid overview of the gift annuity structure and tax benefits, learn how state regulations differ, and understand what is required to issue and maintain gift annuities across multiple jurisdictions. The session addresses annual filing obligation and a few state-specific complexities will be highlighted. Participants will also learn about annual filing obligations, reserve requirements, and ongoing administrative responsibilities that support compliance with ACGA standards and state law. Jamie Holzer White is Vice President of Legal Services at Crescendo Interactive. With a strong foundation in federal tax law, nonprofit compliance, and estate planning, Jamie provides guidance on Crescendo’s gift planning software tools and advises charitable organizations on complex giving vehicles, including donor-advised funds, charitable remainder trusts, and private foundations. She also serves as coordinator for Crescendo’s gift annuity administration services that equip gift planners with practical strategies for managing charitable gift annuity filings. Jamie regularly contributes to Crescendo publications and is a frequent speaker at Crescendo’s charitable planning seminars and webinars. She also serves as a volunteer member of the ACGA Programs Committee. Jamie earned her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and her LL.M. in Taxation with High Distinction from Loyola Law School. She graduated with Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Jamie is a member of the California State Bar and holds the Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation.
