I’m writing this letter following our spring Board meeting where we continued the work of the multi-year strategic planning process that began in our November Board retreat. If I’m honest, the work of a new strategic plan really began more than a year ago as our Board looked toward the future, examined our history, and considered the environment that all of us in the gift planning world work in today. Our core mission continues to be vital to the gift planning field, but there are always new challenges, new technologies, and new opportunities that we must be ready to meet. This strategic planning process will equip us for the future.
While we are still deep amid this multi-year process, the core work of ACGA continues including our work to develop suggested maximum gift annuity rates, monitor state regulations, and develop education for our members. There are a few critical items that I’d like to highlight (with links to other sources in this newsletter and on our website):
- Our new mission statement;
- Review and analysis of current suggested maximum rates;
- Developing a new membership structure
As always, we are very grateful for the trust you place in us by becoming ACGA members. Keep up to date on all ACGA matters through our website and newsletter. We’re moving into the future with a new strategic plan, new research, and our Conference in Atlanta in 2020. Your participation is vital to our success. We wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to hearing from you.
