Fun Facts About Dave

When did you first learn about Gift Annuities?

I had the pleasure of meeting Frank Minton when he came to State Street in 2000 to talk about CGAs and how donors might use them.  I was wowed by his knowledge and ability to so clearly explain what a gift annuity is and how they make great gifts for donors and charities.  Hard to believe that was 25 years ago!!

What is your favortie book?

Walden by Henry David Thoreau.  I live about 5 miles from Walden Pond and have had the chance to not only visit Walden Pond but to go to many of the places in northern Maine where HDT went on his travels.

If you could learn one personal new skill, what would it be?

I would like to learn Spanish as I would like to walk the Camino de Santiago, and I think being conversational in Spanish will be a huge help!

What’s one piece of advice you wish you’d gotten sooner?

You can do anything you set your mind to, but you can’t do it all.  Stay focused!
