The American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA) is launching its nationwide Charitable Gift Annuity Donor Survey on April 7, and we’re reaching out to invite your organization to participate.

This survey is designed in partnership with TIAA Kaspick to deepen our collective understanding of CGA donors—their motivations, preferences, and experiences. The insights we gather will help strengthen the CGA field, inform best practices, and support all of us in serving donors with greater clarity and care.

Organizations interested in participating are asked to sign up now.

The link below is for organizations to register their participation—it is not the donor survey itself. ACGA will provide the survey link and supporting materials prior to the April 7 launch so you can easily share the survey with your donors.

What We’re Asking From Participating Non-Profit Organizations

• Distribute the ACGA-provided survey link to your CGA donors beginning April 7. Survey respondents will share their answers anonymously directly to an online survey created and maintained by TIAA Kaspick.
• Encourage participation through your preferred communication channels (email, newsletters, or direct outreach).
• Complete distribution of the survey by June 1.
• The survey will close on July 15.

What Non-Profit Organizations Will Receive When You Sign Up to Participate

• ACGA will send participating organizations the donor-facing materials, including sample messaging, FAQs, and the survey link, prior to the April 7 launch.
• A comprehensive report on our survey results.
• Insights you can use to inform your own donor communications and marketing.

If You Are A Charitable Gift Annuity Donor Who Received the Survey

If you receive the CGA Donor Survey, here’s what we ask of you:

• Please complete the survey. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
• Your responses are anonymous, and no personal information is stored or shared with ACGA or TIAA Kaspick.
• You may receive the survey more than once. Because many organizations are participating—and because no donor lists or personal information are shared—some donors may receive the survey multiple times, especially if they have charitable gift annuities with more than one nonprofit. We apologize for the inconvenience.
